Objectives of the Department of Pharmacology

  1. To provide comprehensive education in basic and clinical pharmacology to medical students and students of other health sciences disciplines at undergraduate, master’s, M.D., Ph.D., and clinical residency levels.
  2. To train competent and qualified graduates capable of delivering high-quality healthcare services in accordance with societal needs and the national health system across various fields of medical sciences.
  3. To enhance the scientific and practical competencies of students and graduates through continuing education programs, workshops, seminars, and scientific conferences in both basic and clinical pharmacology.
  4. To conduct fundamental and applied research investigating the effects of drugs on cells, tissues, biological samples, and laboratory animals.
  5. To establish active collaboration with hospital departments through joint educational and research activities with clinical specialists and the implementation of clinical trials.
  6. To develop and produce educational resources and reference materials in pharmacology.
  7. To contribute to the development of novel pharmaceutical products for the treatment and prevention of various diseases.
  8. To collaborate in rational drug design, therapy, and prescription practices, as well as in the evaluation and monitoring of adverse drug reactions.
